JOB SUMMARY:
As a CAD Technician Intern at Module X Solutions, you will gain hands-on experience in the design and development of innovative products and manufacturing processes. You will work closely with our experienced engineering team to assist in creating detailed designs, conducting analysis, and supporting the production of high-quality products. This internship will provide you with valuable industry experience and the opportunity to contribute to real-world projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in the creation and modification of detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using software such as Autodesk Inventor (experience in SolidWorks, or similar acceptable).
  • Work closely with the engineering team to understand project requirements and produce accurate and timely drawings.
  • Help maintain and organize CAD files and project documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on technical drawings and models.
  • Perform quality checks on drawings and models to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Assist with the preparation of project documentation, including bills of materials (BOM) and assembly instructions.
  • Support the production team by providing technical drawings and clarifications as needed.
  • Learn and adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: 
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited program pursuing a degree or diploma in CAD Technology, Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Related Experience: 
·         Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks).
·         Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
·         Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
·         Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
·         Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
·         Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights.  When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
