JOB SUMMARY: 
We are seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on Technical Trainer – Electrical to develop and deliver training programs for our manufacturing teams. This role is responsible for teaching electrical concepts and applications in both classroom and on-the-job settings, ensuring employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems safely and efficiently. 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop and conduct classroom and hands-on training sessions focused on basic to advanced electrical skills, specific electrical safety practices, troubleshooting, and equipment operation. 
  • n collaboration with the training and development specialist, create training materials including videos, manuals, presentations, and assessments tailored to various experience levels. 
  • Provide on-the-floor coaching and support to reinforce training and ensure practical application. 
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, observation, and feedback. 
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and safety teams to identify skill gaps and adjust training accordingly. 
  • Maintain training records and provide progress reports to management. 
  • Stay current with industry’s best practices, tools, and compliance regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA, etc.). 
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, basic technical skills, and cross-training efforts for current employees. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
Work Experience: 
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on electrical experience. 
  • Proven experience delivering technical training in a classroom and/or production environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, schematics, PLCs, and safety standards. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to adapt training methods to diverse learning styles. 
 
Education:  Bachelor’s degree in electrical technology or related degree and/or Journeyman’s or electrical license/equivalent. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights.  When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
