JOB SUMMARY: Ensuring the reliable operation of electrical systems and equipment through proactive preventative maintenance within our manufacturing facility. This position focuses on conducting regular inspections, identifying potential issues before they arise, and performing necessary adjustments or repairs to prevent downtime and maintain optimal production efficiency.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform routine electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of lighting systems, equipment, and machinery within the manufacturing plant.
• Diagnose electrical issues and implement solutions to ensure minimal downtime.
• Conduct electrical testing and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and company regulations.
• Monitor and maintain power distribution systems, lighting, motors, drives, and control systems.
• Install and configure electrical systems, wiring, and components for new equipment or machinery.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and provide corrective maintenance as required.
• Document all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts used, to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Collaborate with the production team to optimize equipment performance and reduce operational disruptions.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and production efficiency.
• Follow all lockout/tagout procedures to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment during maintenance activities.
Work Experience:
• 1-3 years of proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motors, drives, and control circuits.
• Familiarity with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Ability to use electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.) and diagnostic tools effectively.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent. Certificate from a trade school in related field.
