JOB SUMMARY: 
As a Marketing/Communications Intern, you will be responsible for assisting the company with marketing and communication with various tasks aimed at enhancing brand visibility and improving internal and external communications. This internship offers hands-on experience providing you with valuable exposure to marketing strategies, content creation, and digital communications in the manufacturing industry. 
 
  • This is a full-time internship position with a duration of 10 weeks.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Content Creation: Assist in creating content for marketing materials, such as brochures, presentations, newsletters, website updates, and social media posts. 
 
Social Media Management: Support the management of social media accounts (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.), including scheduling posts, content creation, and monitoring engagement. 
 
Internal Communications: Help draft internal newsletters, employee announcements, and other communications to keep the team informed about company updates, events, and initiatives. 
 
Market Research: Conduct market research to help identify industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities. 
 
Event Support: Assist in the planning and execution of company events, trade shows, and other marketing initiatives. 
 
Brand Management: Help ensure consistent branding across all communications and marketing materials. 
 
Analytics & Reporting: Assist with gathering data and preparing reports on campaign performance, social media insights, and other metrics. 
 
Other Duties: Provide administrative support as needed, including assisting in photo shoots, video production, and other creative projects. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail with a creative mindset.
  • Previous internship or coursework experience in marketing/communications is a plus.
  • Interest in the manufacturing industry is a plus.

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights.  When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
